This past Sunday (August 12), Animal Collective member Avey Tare hosted his band's radio show, and he used it as an opportunity to unveil some unheard solo tracks of his own.
The bloopy, beat-heavy "Excalibur" features the high, peculiar vocals of Dirty Projects' Angel Derdoorian, while the densely layered "Mr. Funny Man" features a cameo credited to the Deradoorian Sisters. Rounding out the trio of new tunes is the peaceful instrumental "Bobby's Loop."
If you missed this week's radio show, you can listen back to the full transmission here or check out Avey's new cuts below [via Consequence of Sound]. Be sure to tune in to Animal Collective Radio next Sunday (August 19) since the band will be streaming their new album, Centipede Hz, in full.
