Baby Eagle

The Baby Eagle landed with a sorta makeshift band featuring Shotgun Jimmie on drums, Daniel Romano on guitar, and Legato Vipers Mike Brooks and Tyler Belluz on guitar and bass respectively. So, all shit-hot players who'd never performed together on Baby Eagle songs before. I mean, Romano just kinda turned up at the last second and plugged in. The result was a kinda ragged glory, as each embraced the new confusion like a fun challenge. You could see them loving the looseness of it all and marvelling at how amazingly something like "Day of Our Departing" cohered. Good times.
