Babymetal Announce New Album 'Metal Galaxy'

Hear the newly shared track "PA PA YA!!"

Japanese pop-metal hybrids Babymetal have announced they will return with a new album. Marking the group's third full-length release, Metal Galaxy will arrive on October 11 via earMUSIC/Edel/Cooking Vinyl Records.

The album marks the follow-up to 2016's Metal Resistance, and it will presumably feature the string of Babymetal tracks released over the last few months. These include "Starlight," "Distortion," "Elevator Girl" and "PA PA YA!!" — the latter of which just arrived yesterday (June 27). Stream all those tracks below.

According to a press release, the album "is about an odyssey the band must take to the Metal Galaxy, a trajectory thrust upon them by the Fox God sending the band on a darker path. Each song brings them closer to their desired destination."

Babymetal recently announced their first full-scale U.S. headlining tour, and you can see all their upcoming dates at the bottom of the page. So far, though, there are no Canadian dates scheduled.
