After announcing plans to go country on new album Bootcut last week, Bahamas has lifted the curtain on new North American tour dates behind the effort.
Following previously announced summer dates, singer-songwriter Afie Jurvanen will travel around the United States this September and October with support from Fortunate Ones.
Select dates on the tour will feature matinee performances, which are identified in bold below.
As the artist explains in his newsletter, "The Bootcut Tour is a standard issue show including but not limited to one performance of "Lost in the Light;" Bahamas in the Afternoon: A Family Affair is a second, much earlier show (~3 p.m. ish depending on the market), with a slightly shorter more intimate set designed for your share with your elders (65+) and youths (12-) at no additional cost. There is no support on the matinee show, so just show up right when your ticket says and we will get everyone in and out as soon as possible for respective naps, soccer games, swim team, Bingo, etc."
The trek finishes with a newly added Canadian date in Toronto, bringing Jurvanen to Massey Hall for both a matinee and an evening show with support from Georgia Harmer. You can find the artist's complete 2023 itinerary, including previously announced Canadian shows in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, below.
As previously reported, Bootcut arrives September 15, and follows Jurvanen's 2020 LP Sad Hunk.
