While Band of Skulls have named their upcoming album Himalayan, the bluesy UK rock combo will be hitting North America hard this spring when they head out on an extensive tour.
Ahead of the album's April 1 due date through Electric Blues Recordings/Kobalt Label Services, the band will hit up the annual SXSW fest in Austin, quickly followed by coast-to-coast appearances in L.A. and New York.
The tour proper kicks off in April with a one-two punch of Canadian dates in Toronto and Montreal, with a late May stop at Vancouver's Commodore Ballroom also included on the schedule. You'll find all the info behind the band's upcoming club and festival dates down below.
As for Himalayan, the record is the group's third and first since 2012's Sweet Sour. The new LP was recorded last summer at London's State of the Ark studios with producer Nick Launay (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arcade Fire, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds).
You can check out the tag-team vocals and distorted, doom-slinging scale runs of crunchy rock shuffle "Asleep at the Wheel" down below.
