Bandcamp has announced Bandcamp <3 Los Angeles, a fundraiser for Los Angeles wildfire relief that will run from midnight to midnight PT this upcoming Friday (February 7).
One hundred percent of all proceeds from Bandcamp will be donated to MusiCares, a non-profit organization that has provided aid, support and preventative, emergency and recovery resources to those affected by the wildfires within the music community. Bandcamp has also partnered with the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM), Harman, Lagunitas, Roland, Shure, Victrola and Worldwide Independent Network (WIN) for this fundraiser.
In collaboration with artist Shepard Fairey, Bandcamp has also launched a wildlife relief T-shirt that can be purchased for a limited time only, with proceeds also benefitting MusiCares. The initiative created 2,500 shirts for this fundraiser; they can be purchased from Bandcamp's official store.
Bandcamp will also continue its Bandcamp Fridays events to support independent music and artists. Upcoming Bandcamp Fridays will fall on March 7, May 2, August 1, September 5, October 3 and December 5.
