Bartees Strange has shared details of his sophomore LP. The Washington, DC-based artist will deliver new album Farm to Table digitally on June 17 via 4AD, after signing with the label earlier this year.
Following 2020 debut Live Forever, the 10-song Farm to Table is said to find the songwriter focused on people as opposed to the places and experiences that shaped his first full-length.
The first song to arrive from the album is "Cosigns," another taste of Bartees's brilliant genre fusion, which lands alongside a video directed by Pooneh Ghana. In it, he's seated at the head of a Midsommar-style feast, name-checking indie friends and favourites Bon Iver, Phoebe Bridgers, Courtney Barnett and Lucy Dacus.
As previously reported, Bartees Strange will play Calgary on tour with the National this August, and will play Toronto's Budweiser Stage on August 26 alongside Interpol, Spoon and Metric.
LP and CD editions of Farm to Table will arrive via 4AD on October 7. The album is now available for pre-order.
