Remember how, in the lead-up to this summer's Depression Cherry, Baltimore dream-pop duo Beach House rolled out a "Single Finger" tool in which they shared new tracks based on a listener's preferences regarding the group's back catalogue? Now, with the unexpectedly announced album Thank Your Lucky Stars right around the corner, they've done the same thing for the new album.
With the tool, fans who visit Beach House's website can pick their favourite tracks from the group's back catalogue. Based on which songs they choose, fans will get to listen to one of three new songs from Thank Your Lucky Stars. "Majorette" sports sweetly chiming arpeggios and just a hint of low-end distortion, while "One Thing" contains a more rock-oriented mix of fuzzy licks and droning syths, and "She's So Lovely" finds Victoria Legrand singing along with mellow organ figures.
