Never one to shy away from her feelings, Harlem rapper Azealia Banks has moved on from her public spat with Baauer, instead picking a fight with reunited Brit-pop heroes the Stone Roses.
When both acts performed at the Future Music Festival in Australia on Friday (March 8), the Stone Roses allegedly tested out their equipment while Banks was performing. In her mind, it wasn't just an inconvenient mistake or some ill-timing. No — it was an intentional diss, masterminded by her former tour manager.
Taking to her Twitter, she laid into Ian Brown and co. with the following barrage of statements:
Fuck those old saggy white niggas stone roses. I wish them nothing but excrement and death. Wow! I must really fucking be a superstar... You've got an established band trying to sabotage my lil rap bitch shine. Wow a bunch of old white men trying to bully a young black girl.... What the fuck else is new in this world ???
Naturally, the Stone Roses have yet to respond to the diss. Here's hoping that Azealia Banks' insatiable appetite for beef eventually collides with Morrissey's, and the two can have the public feud of the century.
In some other, more positive Banks news, she also shared the artwork to her upcoming single "Yung Rapunxel," which you can see here. The single is due out March 26.
