New York-based pop experimenter Sufjan Stevens gives off the impression of being a very nice guy. Apparently, however, if you don't take your typography seriously, he will take you to task. Whoever designed the front cover for post-punk band Savages' recent Silence Yourself LP found out the hard way, as Soof gave them a talking to on his blog.
In a post, he admitted that he enjoys the band, calling them "very cool," but goes on to admit that he's blown away by the font issues on their album art.

The very cool SAVAGES has allowed a very uncool typographical blunder on its LP cover: Helvetica Narrow (weight loss is the worst thing that can happen to an iconic font, aka iOS 6). Also can we talk about the weird italics (unnecessary affectation, and very un-British), cramped leading (totally unforgivable) and unnecessary line break? Who the Fraggle designed this?
