Glaswegian indie pop masters Belle and Sebastian have shared "Nobody's Empire," another song and video from their upcoming Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance.
Those who were put off by the dance influence of "The Party Line" will be happy to note that album opener "Nobody's Empire" is a return to form for the band, offering a gently building, orchestral chamber-pop number that could have come from any moment in the group's career.
The song's accompanying video pairs footage from the album's cover shoot — including a young woman who sings the entire song — with archival footage from the Scottish Screen Archive and the Prelinger Archives.
Watch the video for "Nobody's Empire" below.
Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance will arrive on January 20 via Matador.
