Somewhat surprisingly, Belle and Sebastian's new B-sides album, The Third Eye Centre, doesn't include the original version of their prog-disco masterpiece "Your Cover's Blown." Luckily, the compilation does, however, feature a remix by Miaoux Miaoux that's fairly close to the original, and it has now received its own music video.
In the clip for this epic, synth-assisted pop cut, we see a woman waking up in her drab apartment. She quickly becomes perturbed when her colourless surroundings are mysteriously brightened up by the emergence of some fancy schmancy home decor. Meanwhile, singer Stuart Murdoch's face shows up on shampoo bottles, postcards on the fridge, magazine covers and more.
The Third Eye Centre is out today (August 27) through Matador.
