Belle and Sebastian Extend North American Tour, Add Vancouver Date

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 13, 2015

Ready to feel like "The Cat with the Cream"? Glaswegian pop group Belle and Sebastian have just announced more concert dates behind their slightly disco-fied Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance LP, including a stop in Vancouver.

As previously reported, Stuart Murdoch and his merry band already had a handful of North American dates scheduled this spring, including an up-north appearance at Toronto's Massey Hall on April 1. Now, though, more concerts have been added to the itinerary, with the BC stop taking place April 8 at Vancouver's Vogue Theatre.

Jazzing up the announcement is news that Seattle-based singer-songwriter Perfume Genius will be the support act on the West Coast dates, and Real Estate have been tapped for a couple of sets too.

You'll find the updated schedule down below.

Don't forget to check out all of what Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance has to offer via Exclaim!'s stream of the album. You can also read our recent interview with leader Stuart Murdoch here.

Girls in Peacetime Want to Dance is out January 20 through Matador.
