Ben Gibbard Shares New Self-Isolation Jam "Life in Quarantine"

Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard has been livestreaming at-home concerts every night throughout the coronavirus pandemic, but now he's giving one of his newly shared songs some studio shine. Today Gibbard delivered a proper version of his new self-isolation original "Life in Quarantine."

Down below, you can check out the newly shared track, which previously debuted as a solo acoustic number during the livestream. As you'll hear, the studio version continues to keep things simple, with not much more than Gibbard's voice and his guitar to keep you company.

Proceeds from the studio version will benefit Seattle non-profit Aurora Commons, "a wonderful organization that provides a safe space for people temporarily experiencing homelessness," Gibbard explained.

Below, you can check "Life in Quarantine," which has some cover art of the outdoors — if you remember all that.

His next livestream starts tonight at 4 p.m. PT (7 p.m. ET). Previously highlights have included a cover of Radiohead's "Fake Plastic Trees" and New Order's "Ceremony."
