1. Aphex Twin Drukqs (Warp)

Richard D. James is a painter — amazing sound pictures. -F. Claus Nader, Toronto ON

All that is good about Aphex Twin in one record. -Trevor Stark, Burlington ON

2. Basement Jaxx Rooty (Astralwerks)
This album is so diverse that calling it electronic is an injustice. The album meshes dance, trance, punk, electronica and so much more into an album full of musical anthems. -Aaron Bronsteter, Thornhill, ON

3. Air 10,000 Hz Legend (Astralwerks)

It's not as amazing as Moon Safari, but it's a good progression. -Ira Sherr, Toronto ON

I don't know if this can be considered "electronic," but I think it's a damn fine release no matter how bad the critics ripped it apart. –Joe DeVries, Ottawa ON

4. Daft Punk Discovery (Virgin)

A postcard from the more innocent past to the cynical present. A reminder of when the whole genre was fun, as were the artists, and the whole nightly ritual of going out to see them. -Aron Papernick, Thornhill ON

Daft Punk returns, and this time there is not an edge that is not polished. Pure electro-pop bliss. It may sound like they sold out, but the twisted Daft Punk-ness remains, to carry the torch lit by Kraftwerk in the ‘70s. -Adam Millie, Vancouver BC

5. Squarepusher Go Plastic (Warp)

Electronic music artist Tom Jenkinson has repeatedly raised the bar when it comes to this genre. With his latest release he has fused his work as some of the most intelligent music to come out of not only the electronic scene, but any recording studio. -Jared Rabb, Millbrook ON

Evil genius. -Jason Wasiak, Regina SK
