"Beautifully chaotic" is the only way to adequately describe Better Left Unsaid's latest release, Only The Dead To Witness. Hailing from Northern California, Better Left Unsaid finely blend their take on metalcore and elements of doom on this sophomore album. From opener "This End Beginning," with its charging, heavy, distorted guitar to gloomy/moshable closer "Maw of the Flame, " Better Left Unsaid deliver 13 tracks full of distinct purpose. With lyrics revolving around themes of a "world gone mad" and the "morality of man," the album's disordered sound works well creating a whirlpool of swirling guitar solos, barraging drums and fiercely hoarse vocals. Top tracks include "Abandon Dystopia," where vocalist Adam Raffety flexes his chords, and "To The Last Man," featuring some of the album's best riff work.
