Big Boi continues to make the rounds on the late circuit in support of his 2012 LP Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors. He hit Letterman a couple of weeks ago and returned to the tube last night (January 15) to perform "CPU" on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The monstrous outdoor stage may have housed a lot of band members, as well as guests Phantogram, but the extravagantly spread-out set-up failed to send a spark through the troupe. It could just be the laid-back vibe of the brassy funk-lite number, but even while Big Boi spit slyly, he seemed a little unenthused; Phantogram's Sara Barthel mic sounded a bit muffled.
The colour-coordinated pair smiled and did a quick two-step together in the final moments of the song, but the track just didn't deliver like it does on LP. Regardless, you can check out the performance below.
