After recently announcing plans for a new solo album, Outkast rapper Big Boi's schedule has hit a snag after being arrested earlier today (August 7) for alleged drug possession.

According to TMZ, the rapper and Modest Mouse collaborator was arrested in Miami and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substand and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

The controlled substances found on Big Boi's person were ecstasy pills, MDMA powders and, incredibly, Viagra, which he didn't have a prescription for.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Big Boi was busted by customs and border patrol dogs while exiting a cruise ship. He was booked into jail at 1:35 EST and is being held on $16,000 bond.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available.

UPDATE: Since this news was reported, Big Boi has taken to his Twitter, writing, "Fresh Out Baby ! Shiiiiit they said it was the Love Boat."

He also pointed to a CNN news item, where his lawyer Daniel Kane said, "While Big Boi was travelling with his group and friends, a small amount of contraband was found in the collective luggage... I am confident when the entire facts are aired Big Boi will be completely exonerated."
