Big Boi Injures Knee and Forced to Postpone Tour with Killer Mike

A knee injury has forced Big Boi to postpone the tail end of his "Shoes for Running Tour" with Killer Mike.

Big Boi revealed earlier this week that he had injured himself onstage in Chillicothe, IL, but Killer Mike tweeted the tour postponement today (May 29), writing: "Guys Big Boi hurt his knee. Surgery today n 6weeks rest. Shows will be moved to Sept. I'm told."

Big Boi then explained over Twitter and Instagram that he had suffered a torn kneecap, and thanked doctors for their handiwork.

"God Bless Atlanta Sports medicine for a successful Knee Surgery fixed my torn Patella #Jesus," he posted, along with a photo of himself recovering in a wheelchair.

The dates affected also include a solo stop at Toronto's NXNE festival on June 16. It's too early to tell exactly when the shows will be rescheduled, but it at least appears as if the rapper is still planning to hit up Montreal's Osheaga event in August.
