Big K.R.I.T.

"B4SXSW"

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Mar 12, 2015

Big K.R.I.T. took a year off from hitting Austin's popular SXSW festival in 2014, but he's making his return in grand fashion. Ahead of his showcase at the event next week, he's delivered a chopped-not-slopped new single called "B4SXSW."

As you'll discover in the stream down below, the song has been slo-mo'd to a syrupy crawl, with synth sounds and the backbeat running especially warped. Among K.R.I.T.'s various pitch-shifted rhymes, he raps about putting out quality tunes, cranking out cuts out his Caddy's interstellar sub-woofer, and choppin' blades on his way to SXSW. You'll find those rhymes and a muddy, melodious hook of "South by/South by Southwest," down below.

K.R.I.T. plays Austin's 405 Club March 22 alongside Smoke DZA, Casey Veggies, Chevy Woods, Two-9 and more.
