Following a few teases and a recent mixtape release, Mississippi rap figure Big K.R.I.T. has finally affixed a proper street date to his second studio full-length, Cadillactica. The album arrives November 11 through Def Jam/Cinematic.
In addition to Def Jam confirming the due date in a press release, a new video interview with the artist has him talking up the LP and its concept of a Cadillac landing onto earth, presumably from the planet Cadillactica.
"It's the planet where all the fly things come from," he explained, "all the player things, all the musically creative things, all the conscious records, the subject matter, all those things.... it's about creating this planet via music."
The record marks a change for the Southern rapper, who, after self-producing a series of mixtape releases and 2012's Live from the Underground, has handed over the production duties to Jim Jonsin, DJ Dahi, Terrace Martin and Will Power. He said of the situation, "I get the opportunity to be an artist for once, a rapper. Just sit down and create with the words."
While a tracklisting has yet to appear, the press release confirms that it contains songs unveiled during this spring's "Week of K.R.I.T." This includes "Mount Olympus," the A$AP Ferg collaboration "Lac Lac" and the "New Agenda" team-up with Rick Ross.

Also on the horizon is K.R.I.T.'s "Pay Attention" tour, which hits Canadian stages in Victoria, Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal in October. You'll find all the date details over here.
