After covering Billie Eilish late last month, Bill Callahan and Bonnie "Prince" Billy have continued their ongoing covers series with their version of a Steely Dan classic.
For their cover of "Deacon Blues," Callahan sings lead while Will Oldham handles chorus harmonies. The pair are joined by guitarist Bill MacKay, who makes up for the lack of saxophone with deftly plucked strings.
Callahan and Oldham's cover series has also seen them take on Hank Williams, Yusuf/Cat Stevens and more. Earlier this year, Steely Dan postponed a North American tour due to coronavirus.
