Singer/guitarist Jonathan Cummins was on one-liner fire yet again, chastising Toronto for, well, being Toronto and teasing that Feist would be joining them momentarily. Personal favourite: "We’ve played this festival 20 times…this is the one where we’re gonna get signed!” Between quips, he and his gang of men with aesthetic appeal only accident vultures could love didn’t play so much as melt faces. Chunks of hard rock and heavy metal were seamlessly welded together by blasts of progressive technicality and bluesy gritty played flawlessly and at lethal volumes. One of the festival’s best/heaviest bands, they were fucking amazing yet again.
