Bison B.C. Announce 'Lovelessness' Album

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Sep 10, 2012

Get your air guitars and neck braces ready, Vancouver metal titans Bison B.C. are coming back with a new LP. Two years after issuing the monstrous Dark Ages, the band have announced their next set, Lovelessness, arrives October 22 through longtime home Metal Blade Records.

This latest effort has the burly quartet switching things up a bit. Firstly, this is the first Bison B.C. album to not feature founding member Brad MacKinnon on drums. The band have since grabbed former Goatsblood/Pride Tiger skin pounder Matt Wood to sit behind the kit.

Lovelessness is also the band's first full-length not produced by Jesse Gander (White Lung, Japandroids). This time around, the act headed to Soma and Electrical Audio Studios in Chicago to work with esteemed producer Sanford Parker (Yob, Pelican, Rwake).

Recording sessions yielded six new numbers, and you can preview the oppressive nine-minute crust and doom opus "Anxiety Puke / Lovelessness" in both the SoundCloud and video players down below.

Lovelessness:

1. An Old Friend
2. Anxiety Puke / Lovelessness
