The original version of BJ the Chicago Kid's track "It's True" featured Schoolboy Q, and now it's gotten even more star-studded thanks to a remix featuring Kendrick Lamar.
Lamar's verse comes in a little after the one-minute mark, and it touches on some very familiar subjects for the rapper, as he rhymes about the rough social conditions and divisive gang colours in his hometown of Compton. This is in keeping with BJ and Schoolboy's unsettling portraits of inner city life. Punch also appears.
The original version of "It's True" appeared on BJ's collection The M.A.F.E. Project. Listen to the remix below.
