B.J Snowden

Outsider music icon B.J. Snowden is a 50-something black woman from Boston who has a lot of overly earnest songs about Canadian provinces, including her new "experimental” piece about "Montreal, kwee-beck.” While her schoolteacher demeanour is charming, she’s not exactly irresistible after more than 20 minutes, even when she hauled her 80-something mother on stage to sing an ode to 9/11. I’d say you had to be there, but you didn’t, really.
