Icelandic pop experimentalist Björk was forced to cancel a string of shows earlier this year due to inflamed vocal cord nodules, but the singer's throat problems are apparently solved, as she's recovered from recent laser surgery.
A statement from Björk confirms that her recent surgery was a success, though it took her a while to decide to undergo the treatment to remove a vocal polyp that doctors found a few years back.
She wrote, "I decided to go the natural way and for 4 years did stretches and tackled it with different foods and what not. Then they discovered better technology and I got tempted into hi tech lazer stuff and I have to say, in my case anyway: surgery rocks!"
The singer added that she had to stay quiet for three weeks following the surgery, but once she got back to singing, she felt her vocal cords were as good as new.
"It's been very satisfying to sing all them clear notes again. I'm sorry i had to cancel stuff earlier in the year, didn't want to talk about this until i knew for sure if it would work. So looking forward to singing for you in 2013 all the warmth."
Björk didn't detail exactly what she had in store for 2013, but the news is sure to thrill her fan base.
