Black Label Society Sign to E1

Published Jan 13, 2010

Major independent record company E1 Entertainment has announced that they've struck a deal with Zakk Wylde's metal rock brigade Black Label Society.

According to E1's official press release, the deal is exclusive to North America and will cover their next two albums. As those HOG riders who are doing cartwheels will tell you, Black Label Society (commonly penned as BLS) are best known as the conduit for Wylde, the former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist, to get his ideas committed to tape.

Speaking of the signing, E1's Scott Givens states, "Rarely does the opportunity come along to sign an artist as talented, influential and important as Zakk Wylde. I am thrilled to welcome him to the E1 Music Group. He is the future of our company and all of us are battle ready to go to the wall for him."

Zakk Wylde's comment? Incredibly non-uniform or line-toeing: "I've known Scott Givens since I first joined Ozzy, and we've always looked for an opportunity to work together... everything came together at E1. I cannot wait to bring new BLS Nationwide on E1!"

The band's next release is slated for summer 2010.
