Black Lips To Star in Movie

Atlanta, GA's Black Lips are set to take their raucous live show to the silver screen for a new film scheduled to begin production in May of 2008. Titled Let It Be, the film will be directed by Roger Rawlings (Neurotica)and is a joint project between Springboard Films and Vice, the Lips' label. According to a press release the story "takes place during the late eighties in the post-punk American underground rock scene. Atlanta's notorious Black Lips will play a fictional band who become a symbol of the changing cultural landscape. The movie will be filmed throughout the Southeast and will include notable music of the period and new music written by the band."
