Black Milk hasn't yet delivered the details behind his anticipated next LP, but the Detroit-born producer has at least let loose a new mind-expanding instrumental called "The Kraft."
The track goes through a few different peaks and valleys, from an early, popcorn-popping beat, to a devilish dubstep squelch, to a melted cassette, new-age warble that plays us out. Mid-track, an old sample purports, "This is probably the most challenging record you have ever put on your turntable." Though the song is available as a freebie download, the sentiment's in the right place.
"It's rare for me to give people a listen or a glimpse into what I'm working on when it's still in its experimental stages, but recently Upendo & I have been bouncing music and art illustration ideas back & forth and decided to post some of these rough drafts online," Black Milk said in a statement. "We call this piece 'The Kraft.'"
