Some bad news to report for Albertan Black Sabbath fans: the band have been forced to postpone both their upcoming dates in the province, one of which was to take place tonight (January 30) in Edmonton.
The band and promoter Live Nation broke the bad news this evening, stating that the dates will not go ahead as planned in Edmonton and Calgary due to an ailing Ozzy. A statement reads:
Due to extreme sinusitis with Ozzy Osbourne the shows in both Edmonton and Calgary have been postponed. Details regarding rescheduled dates will be announced as soon as they are available.
The Edmonton date was to take place tonight, while the Calgary stop was scheduled for February 1. There is no word so far on if any future dates, such as Vancouver on February 3, will be postponed.
