BY Gregory AdamsPublished May 12, 2011

It's been a while since Blackie and the Rodeo Kings last released an album, but things are starting to pick up for the Canadian folksters as of late. Already, we told you about the troupe's new star-studded disc Kings and Queens, and now the group, featuring mainstays Tom Wilson, Stephen Fearing and Colin Linden, will be taking the tunes out on the road.

For the summer, the band will be hitting the Canadian festival circuit. The group have scheduled stops at the Winnipeg Folk Festival, the Ottawa Bluesfest, the Edmonton Folk Festival and more. You can check out the details below.

No word on whether any of their scheduled appearances will feature any of the countless talented women performers from Kings and Queens, including Rosanne Cash, Emmylou Harris and Exene Cervenka, to name a few, but we're keeping our fingers crossed someone makes an onstage guest appearance.

As previously reported, Kings and Queens comes out June 14 on File: Under Music. You can check out a video for new track "Another Free Woman," featuring Sara Watkins, down below, or download the cut here.
