Blondes

"Andrew" (video)

Exclaim!'s review of Brooklyn electronic duo Blondes' recent Swisher release noted that the progressive house record was "magnetically hypnotic, always verging on ecstasy," which could just as easily describe the swirling panoply of chrome images served up in the video for album track "Andrew."

Though it's a bit unclear at first, the clip sparkles with neon lights refracting off the edge of a metal-plated face. Throughout the vid — scored by the band's extended arrangement of ticking synths and deep, pulsing house rhythms — we see a rainbow's worth of colours, as well as an elemental whirl that occasionally spirals the face out of control.

While it gives off a bit of a retro screensaver vibe, it's nonetheless a calming clip. You can check it out down below.
