Blood Orange

"You're Not Good Enough"

The title of Blood Orange's upcoming Cupid Deluxe LP might have you assuming that Dev Hynes's next song cycle is all lovey-dovey, but the set's newly premiered and especially bitter "You're Not Good Enough" single proves that's not exactly the case.

Atop the gauzy kind of keyboard melodies and snappy '80s production tricks Hynes brought to Solange's True, we find him and Friends' singer Samantha Urbani harmonizing about sleeping next to someone that leaves you feeling rather unsatisfied. "You keep on coming back, I keep letting you in," they cry, hinting at a futile but ongoing courtship.

You'll hear the rest of the story down below.

As previously reported, Cupid Deluxe arrives November 18 through Domino, and features additional guest appearances from Clams Casino, the Dirty Projectors' Dave Longstreth, Kindness's Adam Bainbridge, and more.
