U2 frontman Bono is getting his own Apple TV+ documentary, as Bono: Stories of Surrender will land on the streaming service on May 30.
The film is a spinoff of Bono's 2022 memoir Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story and its subsequent tour, which was part book reading and part music performance.
According to an announcement, Bono "pulls back the curtain on a remarkable life and the family, friends, and faith that have challenged and sustained him, revealing personal stories about his journey as a son, father, husband, activist and rockstar. Along with never-before-seen, exclusive footage from the Beacon Theatre shows, the film features Bono performing many of the iconic U2 songs that have shaped his life and legacy."
The film will be released in Apple Immersive Video, as well as the standard version.
Additionally, Bono will release an abridged new version of his memoir titled Bono: Stories of Surrender, which has been edited to follow the arc of the performance. It features a new introduction from Bono himself and will be out on the same day as the film.
