Boosie Badazz has been on one hell of a hot streak in 2016. The increasingly prolific pace of the year has gifted listeners with yet another mixtape from the Baton Rouge-born rhymer, with his latest offering coming under the tributary title of Bleek Mode (Thug in Peace Lil Bleek).
The freelease, which follows March's Thug Talk, is dedicated to the late Lil Bleek, who passed away in 2010. "We had a hell of a life together," Badazz says of his fallen friend on "Intro," on which he contemplates crafting bars that glorify "street shit" when "so many gone."
Also on the tape is "Kill the Beef," a song that finds the rapper dialing into an attitude-heavy, menacing tone above freaky synth-stabs. "Destined to Blow" has him talking about dirty police and fame, while the minimalist "Bag After Bag" weighs in on the trap game.
The tape generally finds Boosie solo, but Bleek Mode also features contributions from OG Dre and Tony Michael. You'll find the full project streaming below.
