Like we said yesterday, good things come in threes, and it's now true when it comes to Boris, who have unexpectedly delivered their third album of 2022.
The six-track fade follows previously released 2022 LPs W and Heavy Rocks (2022) — the third full-length to arrive in a year where Boris are celebrating their 30th anniversary as a group.
This time around, the long-running experimental Japanese trio lean into the sounds of drone metal, crafting an effort "…not bound by concepts of rock and music in general, but could rather be said to be a documentary of the world plunged into the chaotic age of boris moving forward," the band share.
fade is available to stream and purchase in the player below, where you'll also find a music video for album opener "prologue sansaro."
If your seasonal spirit is high, perhaps you'd like to hear Boris take on Wham!'s "Last Christmas."
