Boys Noize Announces 'Out of the Black'

In recent years, Boys Noize has been steadily rolling out remixes, and last year released a compilation. Soon, the German electro star born Alexander Ridha will return the traditional album format. His latest full-length is called Out of the Black, and it comes out on October 2 through his own Boysnoize Records.

You can get a taste of what Boys Noize has in store by listening to the album cut "What You Want." It's an upbeat dance track that moves between aggressively wonky synths and more sunny beats. A two-minute extract is streaming below, and the full five-minute cut is available over at Rolling Stone.

"This particular track was inspired by the vibes I get from the Beastie Boys, for instance," Ridha said in an interview with Rolling Stone. "Their Licensed to Ill album is one of my all-time favourite records, and to me 'What You Want' has some sort of B-boy style mixed with my obsession on robot vocals and modern sound aesthetics. This song combines a lot of things I love about electronic music."

Out of the Black is apparently named after Boys Noize's habit to produce music at nighttime. Stay tuned for more details to emerge about the collection.

Boys Noize has a number of dates in the coming months, but the bulk of them are in Europe. See his schedule here.
