Braid

"No Coast"

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jun 4, 2014

Reunited Midwest emo quartet Braid are promoting their upcoming comeback album No Coast with another sneak preview, this time by streaming the set's title track.

While maybe not as crafty a track as Braid material written during the Age of Octeen, the track still delivers the group's familiar stop-start rhythms and the back-and-forth vocals of Chris Broach and Bob Nanna. Atop the straight forward six-stringing, the pair deliver heartfelt lines about an elusive, incredible person who is apparently "the only thing that is beautiful that no one understands."
