Who are you?
Brent J. Cooper, guitar horse for Huevos Rancheros

Hometown and current HQ:
Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Current fixations:
Sushi, Coronation Street, sleep deprivation

Mind-altering work of art:
The Who's Live at Leeds and Hüsker Dü's "8 Miles High" single.

Most memorable/inspirational gig and why?
One of our most memorable gigs was in Hamburg, Germany during our first Euro-tour. We rolled up to the address of the club and found an old boarded-up house. Eventually we were let in, and our host said "don't worry about the rats, make yourself comfortable." He made a stage out of a door and empty beer crates in a room that would be comfortable for your average Hamburgian family. Anyway, about 90 people ended up in the room and it was awesome! Maybe you had to be there.

Strangest brush with celebrity:
K.J. from Chixdiggit told me he smelled Gloria Steinem at a Pearl Jam concert. We played a party for some friends in Oakland, California and the host said his friends wanted to play "a few songs before we went on." It was Green Day! Jello Biafra sang a couple of songs with us at the same party.

Being the Prime Minister, eating my broccoli.

Calgary instrumental surf rock trio Huevos Rancheros just released their fourth full-length album, Muerte Del Toro; they play Ontario and Quebec in June.
