For over 50 years, Brian Wilson has been demonstrating his ability to craft masterful pop songs. From his work with the Beach Boys to his own solo career, Wilson continues to experiment with his songwriting framework, most recently with his Brian Wilson Reimagines George Gershwin release. Fans looking for a glimpse into his songwriting process will soon be treated with an in-depth DVD set.

The two-disc DVD release is called Songwriter 1962 – 1969: Exploring Brian's Music in a Decade of Dreams, and as the title suggests, it documents Wilson's time writing and recording with the Beach Boys in the 1960s. With over three hours of footage, the film includes many rare and classic live performances, studio footage and archival interviews and photos. The set also includes discussions with fellow Beach Boys, studio technicians and a variety of other people close to Wilson at the time.

Songwriter 1962 – 1969: Exploring Brian's Music in a Decade of Dreams will be released on November 23 via MVD Entertainment and can be pre-ordered here. A clip from the film is available below.
