Hip-hop "boy band" Brockhampton have revealed that Ameer Vann will no longer be part of the group following allegations of sexual misconduct made against him earlier this month.

The group shared a statement to social media today revealing that Vann is no longer a member of the outfit. "We want to sincerely apologize the victims affected by Ameer's actions," they wrote. "We were lied to, and we're sorry for not speaking up sooner."

The statement continued: "We do not tolerate abuse of any kind. This is not a solution to their suffering, but we hope this is a step in the right direction."

Brockhampton concluded with the announcement that they will "cancel the remaining dates of our current U.S. tour to go home and regroup."

You can find the complete statement below.

Vann was accused by singer-songwriter Rhett Rowan on May 12 of being "emotional [sic] manipulative and mentally abusive" while the two were involved in a relationship. Rowan also accused Vann of "abusing women" and having sexual relations with a minor prior to their own relationship.

Twitter user @GIGINOTHADID shared similar claims to Rowan on the platform a day earlier (May 11).

Vann addressed the allegations on Twitter on May 12, writing, "I've been in relationships where I've fucked up and disrespected my partners. I've cheated and been dismissive to my exes," adding, "I have never criminally harmed anyone or disrespected their boundaries. I have never had relations with a minor or violated anybody's consent."

Group founder Kevin Abstract discussed the allegations in a live video via Instagram on May 23, telling viewers, "I don't agree with anything Ameer has admitted to, and I've talked with him about that."

Abstract also mentioned in the video that the group's forthcoming Puppy LP, expected out in June through RCA, will likely be delayed. He wrote:

Something else I wanna say is... we're probably... we're probably gonna push the album back, but I still want a single to come out next month. And having to deal with, like, family problems in front of the world is very difficult. And I'm sorry if, like, if this isn't enough. Anyways, this is really awkward.

Vann has appeared on the covers of all three albums in Brockhampton's Saturation trilogy.
