Sources have promised that Bruce Springsteen's new album, Wrecking Ball, will contain "an amazing sweep of influences and rhythms." Lead single "We Take Care of Our Own," however, is a straight-ahead rocker, and it has now been given the video treatment.
This decidedly blue-collar clip (which starts in black and white and eventually turns to colour) shows the Boss strumming away on his Telecaster in what looks to be an empty warehouse, intercutting footage that celebrates the everyday lives of normal Americans. Just to hammer home the message of unity, all of the lyrics pop up on the screen, karaoke style.
Wrecking Ball will come out on March 6 through Columbia.
