After collecting his first seven albums for a vinyl box set way back in 2014, Bruce Springsteen has revealed plans to release a second box set of remastered material.
Dubbed The Album Collection Vol. 2, 1987-1996, the limited-edition, numbered box set will arrive through Columbia/Legacy Recordings on May 18. The box is set to include remastered versions of 1987's Tunnel of Love, 1992's Human Touch and Lucky Town, 1993's In Concert / MTV Plugged, and 1995's The Ghost of Tom Joad. Springsteen's 1988 EP Chimes of Freedom and 1996's Blood Brothers will also be included for a total of 10 discs.
Each recording was remastered by Bob Ludwig and longtime Springsteen engineer Toby Scott, transferred from the original analogue masters. The box marks the first-ever vinyl pressing of Blood Brothers, while Tunnel of Love and Human Touch have been expanded to fit across two LPs to maximize audio quality.
The 10 discs will be housed in recreations of each release's original packaging, accompanied by a 60-page book featuring rare photos, memorabilia and press clippings from the period.
The Album Collection Vol. 2, 1987-1996 will be available for pre-order on March 30.
