Bruce Springsteen fans can ready themselves for a new announcement from their hero, since the Boss's website has been updated with a message that says "coming soon." What exactly this refers to, however, isn't exactly clear.
The cryptic "coming soon" post includes the image you can see above, with someone taking an axe to what appears be a big pile of sticks and brush.
Radio.com points out that, in an interview back in May, Springsteen said [via Backstreets.com], "Our next step will be to go back in history and dig out classic shows, get them remixed and be able to make those available to our fans. That'll be another thing that we'll be workin' on."
This sounds a bit like an archival version of Springsteen's official bootleg campaign using USB wristbands.
He also said that a "beautiful" music video for "Hunter of Invisible Game" from last year's High Hopes, directed by Thom Zimny, was on its way. It's possible that the above photo is a still from the video.
Then again, this could be referring to a completely unrelated project. For now, we'll have to wait and see.
