Career-wise, legendary rock auteur Bruce Springsteen is simultaneously looking forward and backward as he preps a new album and teases a handful of "lost albums." Similarly, his new lyric video intersperses both brand new and vintage footage of him and the E Street Band.

The song from his upcoming Letter to You album is called "Ghosts," and its another timelessly nostalgia piece of pure Bruce. Its lyrics are provided alongside plenty of footage from all eras of the band.

"'Ghosts' is about the beauty and joy of being in a band, and the pain of losing one another to illness and time," said Springsteen in a statement. "'Ghosts' tries to speak to the spirit of the music itself, something none of us owns but can only discover and share together. In the E Street Band, it resides in our collective soul, powered by the heart."

The song appears on Letter to You, which is out on October 23 via Columbia.
