Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have shared a trailer for The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts, along with details of the film's release. A composite recording of his famed 1979 shows at Madison Square Garden, the film is due to arrive digitally on November 16 and physically on November 19 through Sony Music Entertainment's Premium Content Division in partnership with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
The 90-minute film will feature ten never-before-seen (unless you were there) Springsteen performances, and full footage of the band's entire setlist. It includes versions of the then-unreleased "The River" and "Sherry Darling," Springsteen live staples "Badlands," "Born to Run" and "Thunder Road," plus covers of Buddy Holly's "Rave On" and a version of Maurice Williams' "Stay" featuring guests Tom Petty, Jackson Browne and Rosemary Butler.
The trailer, which features lots of footage of the Boss looking beautiful and performing "Born to Run," "The River," and "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight), promises "an explosive performance by the legendary E Street Band." You can check it out below.
In a press release, Springsteen's longtime manager and co-producer Jon Landau called the film "the greatest document of that era we will ever have. It's a pure rock show from beginning to end, the energy level is transcendent, and the mastery of the art and the craft of rock music is awe-inspiring."
