Brutal Truth

Pioneering NYC grinders Brutal Truth are back after ten years with Evolution Through Revolution, and although they're not better than ever, they're at least just as good. Brutal Truth have remained true to their traditional formula of unrelentingly fast, brutal and chaotic grindcore. Although it's been over a decade since their last release, the grinding tokers in Brutal Truth, formed by legendary bassist Dan Lilker (ex-Anthrax, Nuclear Assault, S.O.D., etc.), have managed to pick up right where they left off. Evolution Through Revolution's first track, "Sugardaddy," starts with an insanely fast guitar riff and vocalist Kevin Sharpe's intense scream, and this is pretty much how the rest of the 20-track album continues. As with any grindcore effort, there's a lot going on but as every element Brutal Truth amalgamate together has a purpose, it's organized chaos. The groundbreaking band exemplify grindcore done right with this grimy, visceral, twisted release that beats you to a pulp.
