Bry Webb

"Sad Man's Songs" / "Viva" (Southern Souls session)

BY Sian DaviesPublished Jan 13, 2012

From former Constantines frontman Bry Webb comes two new videos: an unreleased cover of Burl Ives's "Sad Man's Songs" and "Viva," taken from his debut solo album Provider.

The intimate Southern Souls session was filmed at Webb's home in Guelph, ON and reflects the subtle sincerity of his songs, with a quiet jam in the kitchen while son Asa plays in the background.

Check out both videos, beautifully shot by Mitch Fillion, below, where you'll also find some upcoming tour dates. Following a successful stint opening for Feist this fall, Webb will be performing a series of shows in Ontario next month.

Provider is out now on Idée Fixe.

Tour dates:

2/3 St. Catharines, ON - The Mansion House
2/4 Toronto, ON - The Music Gallery
2/10 Peterborough, ON - Gordon Best Theatre
2/11 Kingston, ON - The Grad Club
