Burning Love Sign to Southern Lord

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 29, 2011

Last year, punked-up rock'n'rollers Burning Love let loose their destructive debut full-length, Songs for Burning Lovers, garnering attention over both its classic rock-mindedness and Chris Colohan's (ex-Cursed, Left for Dead) gruff and throaty delivery. Clearly, the Ontario band picked up some serious fans along the way, as the band have just announced they've joined the prestigious Southern Lord label (Sunn 0))), Baptists, Wolves in the Throne Room).

A press release confirms that Burning Love have joined up with the California-based imprint to issue their next set, Rotten Thing to Say. A tracklisting has yet to be delivered, but the set was already recorded at Godcity Studio in Salem, MA with studio owner and Converge mastermind Kurt Ballou.

The album will soon be mastered by Alan Douches, and artwork and other details will drop in the new year. The record is expected to hit shelves around March or April.
